Jaggery Sheera/ Bella Sheera  Sheera is the most popular Indian dessert which is prepared with semolina, ghee & sugar. It is also called as 'kesari bath' or 'suji ka halwa'.  Sheera or kesari bath is i am sure everyone's favourite sweet dish.  Usually, Sheera/ kesari bath is is prepared with sugar and is loaded with calories. It's my hubbys favourite snack . So this time i tried to prepare it in a healthier way  using jaggery.  Jaggery  is called as ' Bella' in tulu/ kannada language. It is rich in iron and  is considered a superfood as it contains more vitamins and minerals and has low sucrose content when compared to white sugar. This is absolutely a guilt free sweet which can be enjoyed by anyone.  Best treat for health conscious people too.  My family loves sheera with fresh fruits as it has got natural taste & flavour.  Here i have used pineapple pieces.  You can use any of your favourite seasonal fruits.

Suji Ka Halwa/Semolina Halwa

Suji ka halwa/ Semolina Halwa  This mouth watering sweet is prepared with semolina, ghee, sugar and milk.  Such  a delicious & melt in the mouth dish is  one of the favourite sweets relished by my family members .  The difference between suji ka halwa  and sheera/ kesari bath is that, here we use milk where as for sheera we use only water.  It's a very easy recipe which can be prepared within 12- 15 minutes if all the ingredients are kept ready  .  Such a delicious dish can be enjoyed for breakfast, evening tea , any snack parties or can be served for kids snack box.  This super delicious dish can be enjoyed as a dessert too after any meal.  Try this mouthwatering recipe.  Please note: I used only 3/4 cup sugar in this recipe. Actual proportion is 1 cup. You can use as per your choice.  Here i have used less ghee. Mutton Donne Biryani /Jeera Rice Biryani

Mutton Jeera rice Biryani Planning for some yummy weekend meal? Try this droolworthy , super delicious mutton biryani with jeera rice! Biryani is usually prepared with Basmati rice but this unique biryani is prepared with jeera rice hence it's called as Donne Biryani.
