Chicken Nuggets


How many of you love these crispy , super yummy Nuggets? 

This is one of the most loved appetizers among all age groups! 

From kids to elderly people , everyone is fond of this crispy , yummy snack! 

These  nuggets with a crispy exterior and a juicy , flavourful interior are best enjoyed with tomato ketchup, tomato sauce or any dip of your choice. 

My family loves this as an appetizer with their favourite drinks. 

This can be served as a side dish with any meal  too. 

Store brought Nuggets are expensive and are with added preservatives. 

Homemade nuggets are healthy as they do not contain any food colour  or preservatives , hence it could  be a healthy snack for your kids snack box, birthday parties or any snack parties.

Here is a simple easy recipe:

Please note:

You can use a food processor or can pulse the meat in the mixer grinder jar. 

Add required spices of your choice. 

Recipe:

A. Ingredients:

  • 250 grams of chicken mince
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 2 flakes of garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 slices of bread

B. Dry ingredients for coating:

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt. 

C. Other ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • Breadcrumbs

Method:


Add all the ingredients mentioned under A to the food processor or a grinding jar. 

Process till everything is well combined. 

Mixture is ready. 
Keep this mixture in the refrigerator for 1/2 an hour. 

Add all the ingredients mentioned under B to a bowl. Mix well. Keep aside. 

Beat 2 eggs. Keep aside. 
Spread breadcrumbs in a plate. 

Take a small portion of the chicken mince mixture. 

Flatten on your palm. Give any desired shape. 


Prepare all nuggets. 

Add one by one to the flour mixture. Coat flour on all sides. 

Dip these coated nuggets in the egg mixture. 

Now place them on the breadcrumbs and coat breadcrumbs on all sides. 

These breaded nuggets can be packed  in an airtight container and stored in the freezer for about 1- 2 months and used when required. 

Heat enough oil for frying. 
Drop one by one nuggets into medium hot oil. 

Fry in batches. Do not overcrowd. 

Fry till golden brown on a medium flame. 

Remove on an absorbent paper. 

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

They are so delicious with super crispy exterior and a soft, moist interior. 

Tastes awesome as a side dish with fried rice or any meal.
