Mutton Polov This is a traditional Mangalorean delicacy , typically served at Roce ceremonies   along with other dishes.   'Roce ceremony ' is a pre wedding ritual among mangalorean  catholic community which is celebrated by anointing the bride & groom with freshly squeezed coconut milk.  Mutton Polov is one of the favourite dishes of my beloved mom & I still feel her presence while roasting the spices. How to grind boiled rice easily & quickly in the mixer grinder?  Monsoon season is the best season to relish most of our traditional mangalorean delicacies.  Most of our traditional mangalorean delicacies are prepared by using ground boiled rice batter.  Our ancestors used to grind boiled rice in the traditional stone grinder & prepare all types of traditional mangalorean delicacies.  Present generation doesn't have time & patience to use stone grinder.  Some of us use table top grinder or tilting wet grinder to grind boiled rice.  Traditional delicacies like Pathrade, patholi ( gatti) , mutlin(pundi), bakri(rice rotti), shevyo( shemeda adde), Pajey madipala mandas etc are prepared by using only ground boiled rice.  These all dishes can be prepared even with raw rice, but boiled rice batter makes the dish softer, tastier & gives authentic traditional taste to the dish.  Most of us use mixer grinder to grind rice. Wheat Laddu These yummy laddus are most popular across North India.  They are  super delicious, aromatic and just melt in your mouth .  This is my younger son's most favourite sweet  & i make sure to prepare these everytime  he comes down on a vacation.  These laddus are made by slow roasting Wheat flour till aromatic. The divine aroma of ghee , cardamom & slow roasted flour  spreads in the entire kitchen.  These mouth watering laddus can be prepared  quickly & easily with just  5 ingredients.  Dry fruits added in this recipe, gives awesome taste , crunch & richness to these laddus. I have used my favourite dry fruits. Try these yummy fish cutlets.  These crispy , crunchy cutlets can be the best appetizer or side dish with any meal.  Make sure to use fleshy fish for the preparation of fish cutlets. King fish, Salmon, Butter fish, Mackerel is an excellent choice for fish cutlets as they are fleshy & have very less bones. Make sure to remove all the bones before adding other ingredients. Cook fish to perfection to retain the moisture & taste.  Small size seer fish is available these days.
