Tharsule losun-mirin / Taru buthai / Small sardines garlic -pepper curry This is my mom's most favourite fish curry. Now my favourite too. Small size sardines are called as 'tharsule' in konkani & ' taru butai' in tulu language. This fish is rich in protein, calcium, vitamins, and minerals.  Sardines is a most popular fish which is easily available for reasonable price. But these small size sardines ( baby sardines) are available only during particular season.  This particular curry is called as losun mirin curry / garlic pepper curry which has a unique flavour of garlic and pepper . This curry tastes awesome as these small sardines have natural oil & distinct flavour which makes this gravy so glossy and so yummy.  This curry doesn't suit for large size sardines.  Cutting & cleaning this baby sardines is a difficult task but it is worth the effort  when you relish this curry with hot boiled rice & some vegetable side dish. All you need is a chapathi dough & little ghee.  This flaky parota tastes awesome with any meat or fish curries or any special vegetable curry too.  Here is my version of easy , tasty , flaky parotas.  Please note: I have not used any oil while frying these parotas. You can use ghee or oil.  This is my quick & easy way of preparation. You can make small pleats on the parota and roll into a round ball.
