Pan Roasted Chicken 

This is one of the easiest, quickest, tastiest & royal appetizer which my family enjoys on weekends. 

The divine aroma while roasting this chicken makes you fall in love with this dish. 

Rosemary plant 


I use fresh rosemary frm my kitchen garden for  extra flavour. You can skip if you don't have. 

This dish can be enjoyed as an appetizer or a side dish with any meal.

You don't require any oven or grill to do this super delicious dish. This dish can be prepared  by anyone as it is prepared in a cooking pot. 

Very few basic ingredients are used to prepare this super tasty dish Try this easy recipe. 

Please note:

Use small -medium size chicken. 

Use masala powders as per your spice requirements. 

I have added few potatoes as we love these roasted potatoes. 

I have used few rosemary stems. You can skip if you don't have. 

You can add any of your favourite sauces too. 

Recipe:

Ingredients for the marination:


  • 1 medium size whole chicken 
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder 
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder 
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 t sp jeera powder 
  • 1 tsp pepper powder 
  • 1 tbsp  tandoori masala powder 
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • Salt to taste

Other ingredients:( optional)


  • Few rosemary stems 
  • Few potato pieces 

Method:

Wash & clean whole chicken & put some slits on both sides. 

Add all the ingredients  for the marination to the chicken.  
Rub well all over the chicken. 

Keep it aside for a minimum 1 hour. 

Take a deep wide nonstick cooking pot. Gently place the chicken. Cover & cook on a slow flame for 2 minutes. No need to add any oil . Increase the flame & cook for 2 minutes.  Now cook on a medium flame for 8-10 minutes. 

Gently flip over the chicken.

Cook on a slow -medium flame for another 5-8 minutes. 


Add potato pieces, rosemary stems and cook till potatoes are cooked. 

Delicious Pan Roasted Chicken is ready to serve.  Pour the broth on the chicken. ( Liquid collected at the bottom of the pot)


Serve hot as an appetizer or side dish with any meal.
