Many a times we have this healthy delight as  our dinner.  This healthy soup is loaded with nutritious freshly chopped veggies, Chicken & egg. Best choice to have as a healthy meal.  This soup can be prepared easily & quickly if all the ingredients are readily available. Chopping veggies is much easier if you have a vegitable chopper or a food processor.  You can add any veggies of your choice. I have added brocoli, cabbage, Carrots, baby corn, mushroom, capsicum, spring onion & cauliflower.  You can include any meat of your choice.  Chicken stock can be prepared by boiling Chicken bones & wings in pressure cooker along with few veggies.  The crispy, crunchy fried noodles added on top gives extra crunch & richness to this soup.  Here is a simple easy step by step recipe.  Kindly add the spices, sauces & veggies as per your requirements.  RECIPE: INGREDIENTS: 1 bowl mixed chopp

Paneer Roast

PANEER  ROAST My younger son just loves paneer anytime. Whenever i cook fish for us, i prepare paneer  roast for him as he doesn't eat fish. This is a very simple easy, quick & delicious recipe which needs very few basic ingredients available at home.  This can be served as an appetizer, side dish with rice or noodles or as a snack. I am sure kids will love this.  While cooking paneer,  make sure that it remains soft & fluffy. Eating soft paneer is always delightful. Overcooked or over fried paneer  will  turn out hard & rubbery. Make sure you fry it only for 1-2 minutes on each side.  RECIPE (Kindly use spices as per your choice. We prefer less spicy food) INGREDIENTS: Paneer slices  200 gms Kashmiri Red chilly powder 1&1/2 tbsp Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp 1 tbsp ghee Salt to taste Lemon juice 1 tbsp METHOD: Slice the  paneer  as per your choice. Add all the above mentioned ingredients one by one to paneer Slices.

Shevyo/String Hoppers

SHEVYO/STRING HOPPERS There is a great satisfaction in preparing the  favourite meal of family members. I always love to give them surprise by preparing their favourite dishes.  The smile on their faces while relishing their favourite food is the best reward for all the hard work.  Shevyo with Chicken curry is in fact the most favourite meal of my family. But i was not able to give them a surprise as i always wanted their help in pressing shevyo/ string hoppers.   We Mangaloreans follow the lengthy method of soaking boiled rice for 8 hours, grinding to thick paste, steaming and pressing the steamed batter  in the pressing machine.  Here we need a help from others to press the string hoppers.  This time i tried this quick & easy way of preparing string hoppers/ shevyo  and gave my family a pleasant surprise.  All enjoyed these super soft, silky string hoppers/shevyo with delicious Chicken roce curry.   This recipe needs no soaking of rice , no grinding, no steaming in ad
