PROTIEN RICH VEG BALLS
These high protein veg balls are excellent for growing kids. Can be served as a starter too. Simple , easy & tasty
Ingredients:
(A)
- 1cup boiled & mashed potatoes
- 1 cup boiled & slightly mashed corn
- 1 cup boiled & slightly mashed sprouted green gram .
- 1tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 tsp chilly paste or chilly flakes( use as per ur choice)
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- 1tsp mixed dry herbs
- Salt to taste
- Little lemon juice
- 2-3 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 cup grated cheese/paneer
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- Handful of chopped coriander leaves.
(B)
- Oil for frying
- 2+3 tbsp maida/ wheat flour
- 1 cup bread crumbs
Method
Mix all the ingredients listed under section (A). You can add other veggies of your choice too like carrots, cabbage, other sprouts etc. Use spices as per your choice.
Mix the mixture to thick dough. Make small balls & keep it aside. You can refrigerate too.
Prepare paste of 2 tbsp maida/wheat flour, with half cup water.
Spread bread crumbs in a plate
Keep 3 tb sp dry maida/ wheat flour in a bowl.
I have used wheat flour.
Roll balls in dry wheat flour/ maida & coat well, remove & dip in maida paste, now toss in bread crumbs to coat well on all sides & deep fry on medium flame till golden brown.
