Easy Mothichoor Laddus
I love mothichoor laddus but used to avoid preparing them as fried bundis absorb lots of oil.
Here is a simple easy process where these laddus are prepared in a healthy way without absorbing much oil.
These laddus can be prepared in a very healthy way too without adding sugar.
In the 2nd method I have explained healthy way to prepare these delicious laddus. Kindly go through the following details for step by step recipe.
1st Method:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup chana dal
- 1 cup sugar ( as per your choice)
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Few dry fruits
- Clove & cardamom powder
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying.

Drop in little portion of dal paste in hot oil like pakodas & deep fry. No need to fry till its crispy.
STEP 4
Coarsely grind these pakodas in mixer grinder.

I have used only 1/2 cup sulphur free sugar.
STEP 7
Add ground pakoda powder. Mix well, cover & keep aside for 10 minutes.
STEP 8
Add roasted dry fruits. Powder 3 cardamoms with 3 cloves & add to this mixture. Add 1 tbsp ghee & a pinch of salt. Mix well.
STEP 9
Super easy & delicious mothichoor laddus are ready.
2nd Method:

For all the calorie concious sweet tooths out there, this is a perfect treat to enjoy guilt-free indulgence with these healthy mothichoor laddus.
Mothichoor laddu with Jaggery
Same laddus can be prepared in a healthy way using jaggery instead of sugar. Use same proportion of ingredients mentioned above. Use 1 cup jaggery instead of sugar.
Method:
Soak chana dal for 2 hours. Grind to thick paste. Make small pakodas & fry in hot oil.
Add these pakodas to the grinding jar, grind to a coarse powder.
Heat 1 tbsp ghee, add dry fruits. Fry & keep aside.
Heat 1 cup jaggery with 1 cup of water. Boil till you get sticky consistency.
Add powdered chana mixture. Mix well. Add dry fruits. Cardamom & clove powder, pinch of salt, 1 tbsp ghee. Mix well.
Prepare laddus.
Super delicious, healthy , jaggery mothichoor laddus are ready to serve.

ReplyDeleteJust a query, when you used 1/2 cup sugar did you use only 1/4 cup water or was it 1/2 cup water & 1/2 cup sugar???
