I grew up eating this traditional mangalorean delicacy as my grandmother and most of our relatives from villages often used to get field marrows from their farms. My mom used to prepare different curries with field marrow & this is one of the tastiest curries. A good quantity of horse gram boiled water is used in this recipe. So, whenever i prepare this curry, i prepare kultache ladoo ( horse gram laddu,) from the leftover boiled horse gram . These laddus are truly so delicious and nutritious.
