Sesame Protein Laddu 


Sesame seeds are a good source of healthy fats, protein, B vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants, and other beneficial plant compounds.

They are an excellent source of manganese and calcium, both of which help your bones grow healthy and strong.

I prepared these healthy laddus with sesame seeds and other healthy ingredients which tasted superb and appreciated by my family members & neighbours.  No sugar is used in this recipe. 

Winter is the best season to consume these laddus because they're filled with great content of oil and fats which are necessary for our daily diet.

These laddus can be prepared so easily & quickly if all the ingredients are readily available. All you need is a pan to roast the ingredients and a grinding jar! And your laddus are ready. 

This could be an ideal snack to your kids in their snack box. Best treat for your growing kids & loving family members. 

Try this quick and easy recipe. 

Recipe:

I have used 150 ml cup for measurement. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sesame seeds( 200gms)
  • 1 cup cashewnuts+ almonds
  • 1 cup fresh coconut
  • 1 cup jaggery 
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 5 cardamom 
  • Tiny Pinch of salt

Method:

Dry roast sesame seeds till slight brown. 

Reserve 3tbsp roasted sesame seeds aside. 

Roast cashew, almond for 2-3 minutes.

Add the roasted nuts to the grinding jar and pulse just for 5 seconds & reserve 3 tb crushed nuts aside. 

Dry roast coconut till aromatic. 

Add 5 peeled cardamoms to the grinding jar. 
Add roasted sesame seeds , crushed almond, cashewnuts and roasted coconut. 

Now grind this mixture for 30 seconds.  
Sesame seeds & coconut will release its oil & you will get this type of ground mixture. 

Add jaggery & a pinch of salt. 
Grind for another 30 seconds.

Laddu mixture is ready. 

Put this mixture to a mixing bowl, add 1 tbsp ghee. 

Add  reserved sesame seeds, crushed almond & cashewnuts. 
Mix well. 

Roll out laddus. 

Delicious laddus are ready. 
I made around 24 medium size laddus.
