Fried Fish Roce Curry
Fried Fish Roce Curry
This is one of my most favourite fish curries. It's a coconut based curry where fried fish is seasoned with aromatic Indian spices and simmered in creamy coconut milk.
Mom used to make such curry when the fish was available in large quantities for a cheap price. She used to tell me that in olden days when there was no refrigerator to preserve the fish, they used to fry fish & preserve to prepare such curry.
King fish/seer fish, mackerel, croaker fish( dadyare/ koddai) etc are the excellent choice for this type of fish curry.
This curry tastes awesome with boiled rice or neeru dosa/ panpole, dosa, sanna or chapathi.
Try this delicious Roce curry with your favourite fish.
Please note:
Use spices as per your choice. We eat medium spicy food.
Try to use coconut oil or ghee for seasoning. Coconut oil gives awesome flavour to this dish.
Here i have used fresh coconut milk.( Use the 2nd and 3rd exracts of coconut milk to clean the masala jar & add to the masala instead of water) You can use ready made coconut milk too.
