BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE


This super moist, delicious cake is an excellent choice to have as a tea time snack.   This, i would say,  is a combination of banana bread and a chocolate cake.  It is one of my son's favourite cakes & the chocolate chips in cake will definitely  make your kids fall in love with this cake. 

You can have a richer version by adding any frosting of your choice.  Try this easy, yummy recipe which needs very few basic ingredients. 

I have used only 1/2 cup sugar as there is sweetness in chocolate chips too. You can use sugar as per your choice. 


RECIPE:

I have used 200 ml cup for measurement. 

INGREDIENTS: 

A.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil/ butter/ghee

  • 3 eggs

B.

  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp coco powder
  • 1/4tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of baking soda

C.

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 5 drops of vanilla essence

METHOD:


Mash all the ingredients under A to a smooth paste. 

Add eggs & beat well. 

Sieve all the ingredients under B.

Add sieved ingredients to the banana mixture. 

Fold in gently & add vanilla essence. 
Add chocolate chips. (Retain few for the garnishing) Mix well. 

Pour the mixture to a greased baking tin. Garnish with few chocolate chips.

Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes at 180° C. 

Delicious cake is ready. 

Cool completely. 

Slice as per your choice. 

Super moist, delicious,  banana chocolate cake is ready. 
Can be enjoyed for about a week at room temperature .
